This event brings together key decision-makers from the Council of Europe, current and former European Court of Human Rights judges, practitioners and leading scholars to consider unprecedented challenges of our time for the Council of Europe, European Court of Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights.
They include Russian aggression against Ukraine, the rise of populist and extreme nationalism more generally and the anti-rights movements that this has spawned, as well as specific issues including the environment, pandemics and the implications of economic turmoil on people’s rights.
