Olivia-Faith Dobbie appointed as a Recorder

Cloisters is delighted to announce that Olivia-Faith Dobbie has been appointed as a Recorder in the Civil jurisdiction on the South Eastern Circuit.

The appointment was made by the King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales. Alongside her appointment, which will commence on 18 November 2024, Olivia will continue with her barrister practice, specialising in equality and discrimination, employment and human rights.

Olivia-Faith Dobbie

Olivia-Faith Dobbie is an employment law specialist, with extensive experience of a broad range of employment disputes, both in the civil courts and tribunals. She also has a sound appellate practice and has appeared at all levels including two appearances in the Supreme Court as junior counsel, as well as having acted in a case which went to the European Court of Human Rights. Olivia was appointed as a part-time employment judge in 2020.
