Charlotte accepts instructions across all areas of chambers' work, including employment, discrimination, public law and human rights, regulatory and professional discipline, sports law, personal injury and clinical negligence.
Charlotte acts for both claimants and respondents in the employment tribunal and county court, including complex, multi-day discrimination and whistleblowing cases. She also has experience undertaking workplace and union investigations, including those involving sensitive sexual harassment issues. She has recently been instructed in several cases in the higher education sector, acting for universities, unions and individuals, and in the social care sector. She has acted both as a junior and as sole counsel in complex worker status and territorial jurisdiction matters and is developing a practice outside the employment arena in discrimination in services.
Charlotte also acts for claimants in personal injury and clinical negligence cases, including assisting with catastrophic injury cases, advising on merits and quantum and drafting complex schedules.
Charlotte commenced pupillage in October 2019 and was offered tenancy in July 2020.
Before coming to the bar, Charlotte worked as a law clerk for the Arizona Capital Representation Project, conducting research and drafting motions for post-conviction proceedings in death row cases. Charlotte previously interned with the Bar Pro Bono Unit (now Advocate) as a caseworker for employment and immigration cases. Charlotte also has experience working with digital campaigns, and in 2017 created a tool that used dating apps to improve the turnout of young voters in elections.
